Something extraordinary is happening at the Toronto Congress Centre this August, and if you love authentic textiles, luxury fashion, or simply want to discover one of the world’s most remarkable natural fibres, you will not want to miss it. New Himalayan Pashmina House — Canada’s home for authentic Himalayan pashmina — is exhibiting at the Toronto Fall Gift + Home Market, August 9–12, 2026. Find us at Booth #6400 and experience genuine Chyangra cashmere, handwoven in Nepal and brought to Canada.

From Nepal to Toronto: Bringing Himalayan Craftsmanship to Canada
New Himalayan Pashmina House was built on a single belief: that one of the world’s most extraordinary natural fibres deserved to arrive in Canada with full transparency, respect for its origins, and uncompromising quality. That fibre is Chyangra cashmere — harvested by hand each spring from mountain goats living above 4,000 metres in the Himalayan passes of Nepal and Tibet.
A single Chyangra goat yields just 80 to 170 grams of usable fibre per year. It takes the fleece of three to five goats to produce one shawl. From the high pastures, those fibres travel to the Kathmandu Valley, where master artisans — more than 75% of whom are women — hand-spin, hand-dye, and hand-weave each piece on traditional wooden looms using techniques passed through generations. A single fine pashmina shawl takes three to five days to complete.
That journey — from mountain pasture to your hands — is the soul of every piece we bring to Canada.

Discover Our Himalayan Pashmina & Cashmere Collection
Our Toronto exhibition brings together the full range of our handwoven Himalayan collection — from everyday elegance to investment-quality pieces built to last a lifetime. Here is what you will find at Booth #6400.
Pashmina Shawls and Stoles
Our pashmina shawls are the heart of the collection — hand-woven in solid colours and heritage patterns, generous in size, extraordinary in warmth, and light enough to forget you are wearing one. Alongside them, our pashmina stoles — from classic heritage checks to artisan-printed florals and paisleys — offer a versatile, scarf-width piece that styles beautifully across every Canadian season.

Wraps, Ponchos and Cashmere Sweaters
Our pashmina wraps drape beautifully over a coat, a dress, or a simple top — woven in classic and contemporary patterns with the same Grade A Chyangra cashmere throughout. Our women’s ponchos bring Himalayan warmth into a ready-to-wear silhouette: the floral jacquard and camel side-neck styles are among our most-loved pieces at this exhibition. And for those who want to wear pure cashmere every single day, our women’s cashmere sweaters — soft-knit pullovers in rich jewel tones — are the kind you will reach for first, every morning.
The Craftsmanship Behind Every Thread
The word pashmina comes from the Persian pashm — meaning the finest, softest wool. At 14–16 microns in diameter, Chyangra cashmere is finer than standard cashmere (16–19 microns), which explains the unmistakable softness of a genuine Himalayan piece the moment you hold it.
At New Himalayan Pashmina House, our entire production process honours that fibre. Combing is done gently by hand — never shearing — preserving both the animal’s wellbeing and the integrity of the cashmere. Hand-spinning, natural dyeing, and traditional handloom weaving follow. Every edge is hand-finished. Every fringe is hand-knotted. No two pieces are exactly alike.
Every piece comes with a verified certificate of authenticity and complete fibre traceability. We work exclusively with artisan cooperatives in the Kathmandu Valley that guarantee above-market wages, safe working conditions, and zero child labour. When you purchase from New Himalayan Pashmina House, you are directly supporting the living cultural heritage of Nepal — and the families who carry it forward.

Why Canadian Customers Are Discovering Himalayan Pashmina
Canada demands a great deal of its textiles. From Toronto’s damp winters to Calgary’s dry cold, from the rain of Vancouver to the sharp chill of a Montreal February — our climate needs real warmth without the weight. Authentic Himalayan pashmina delivers exactly that. The hollow fibre structure of Chyangra cashmere insulates far beyond what its feather-light weight suggests, doing the work of a heavy coat layer without adding bulk. A pashmina shawl packs flat, travels beautifully, and elevates every outfit it touches.
Canadians are also discovering pashmina for another reason: it lasts. With proper care — a gentle hand wash, laid flat to dry — a genuine cashmere piece softens and improves with every year. These are not fast-fashion purchases. They are pieces that stay in wardrobes, and in families.
